Setting up a promo shoot this week for a DJ tribute act.
The client is wanting to offer appearance DJ sets as well as a fully produced touring show.
Not quite finished yet, with an additional 85” screen to go in the front. But we will post more info, stills, and videos next week about this once I get the ok from the client.

Our weapon of choice is ChamSys and MagicQ desks, using MQ50 and MQ80.
Because the small festivals we produce can have all genres of music, its good to get a selection of music cues and scenes we can then change on the fly (busking). Changing the colour and movement of lights.
By adding cues with a global ‘tap to time’ means it gives the light show a little more dynamic look as movement within the lights sync to the beat of the songs. Then manually adding strobe and blinder effects in the ramps and chorus of the songs. You can easily use the same lighting cues for faster beats like rock or dance music and sweeps for slower songs.
This configuration means we can fly the columns from truss or floor them on tank traps as pictured. The moving head washes would be spaced out across the stage truss. There’s not a lot of room in our warehouse hence why they are bunched up a bit.
I’ll post a video of them in action at an event in the next month or so.

Festival racks are built and ready for the 2024 summer season.
We have to keep them as modular as possible due to the drive and amp racks being used on different types of events.
Next week we will connect it up and test with our Allen & Heath Avantis and SQ desks.

This 48 / 16 channel digital rack will be used with our Allen & Heath Avantis and SQ mixers.
4-way Sennheiser EW-DX radio mic system with RF distro and EW-G4 in ear. So the monitor engineer can roam on stage with an iPad.
Completed with a network switch, UPS, XLR, powercon and ethercon inputs. The EW-DX system can be configured remotely on the network via iPad or monitored on the Avantis.
Used in a stand alone application or part of a FOH and monitor set up. This allows for versatility and quick setup on live music and corporate events.
Sometimes going backwards is the solution.
New in our inventory is this 48 channel stage distribution rack. Including 4 x 12 input stage boxes. So you can insert an input on stage or at the rack.
With 3 x 48 channel splits for FOH, monitors and recording / touring bands.
Because of the amount of small 1 & 2 day festivals. Touring engineers for smaller acts don’t have Dante. So this was the best solution allowing for as much flexibility as we can.
