This is going to be a big one, day 1 of 3 days set up for @martinhousech annual Glitter Ball.
And that’s a wrap for 2024 👏👏👏
Our @cr_uk event season has come to an end in Rowntree Park, York. 
This year we have produced the PA and stage on 20 Race For life, Pretty Muddy and Shine events across Yorkshire. 
It was nice to finish it all with @theyorkmix and Victoria Charles on stage. 
2025 will be our 15th year working with the charity.

Let's talk stage branding for a minute 💡
We've started insisting on consulting and supplying stage branding/banners when we hire out our stages.
There's nothing worse than:
❌ putting all that man-power in to erecting a stage and having a client put badly designed, poor quality branding up; 
❌ telling a client they can't hang their banners because they've ordered the wrong material (even after being given the correct specs).
We actually didn't consult with York LGBT Pride on their banner designs. They just got it right, from the design to the material used. The main stage looked so great, we now insist all our clients follow their example!
Here's how to get it right:
✅ Discuss with you PA/AV company where they plan to stack PA and equipment. Ground stacked PA (like in the video here) is likely to sit in front of the PA wings or skirt/valance. Make sure your graphic designer knows the safe areas for branding.
✅ Keep it simple and BIG. Just because the banners are big, that absolutely does NOT mean you should fill it with as much info as possible. A good graphic designer will know the limits and will hopefully talk you out of putting unnecessary clutter on there! 
✅ Got sponsors? Try to limit the amount of stage sponsorship packages you sell so that you're not filling the banners with small logos. Exclusivity is much more valuable to your sponsors - and will look SO much better and impactful.
✅ The material needs to be wind and sound permeable. Wing banners and back scrims must be mesh, otherwise you're turning our stage into a very expensive kite! We often fly PA behind the banners too, so the material needs to let the sound through. We will refuse PVC banners.
✅ Consider how your stage looks from the back of the crowd. Keep the logos and information you want seen as high as possible. If you're expecting a big audience, then consider ditching the idea of a front valance or front barrier branding to save budget - they just don't get seen!
